This is one of those things that happen when you're trying to do something else.

another great contrast between primitive sounds and expert skills.

I think the continuum set-up was still inconsistent,
 for instance if it is going to represent 'talk without words' all the words have to go;

throat sounds	vocal dynamics	sound mimicry	speech mimicry
gargling ...	sound poetry ...	beatbox ....	idioglossia ...

there is now halfway a shift from internal  to external (mimicry).
